The most important lesson I’ve learned over this past year is; don’t let anybody make you cruel.

No matter how badly you want to give the world a taste of its own bitter medicine, it is never worth losing yourself.

If you feel like you’re torn between who the world is telling you to be and who your heart is telling you to be, go with your heart.
Always go with your heart.
The world may be telling you to go one way with your relationships, your career, your friendships, your home.
The world may be telling you to act a certain way,
be less emotional,
be more emotional,
be louder,
be softer,
to be something else.
Don’t listen.

Quiet down the outside world however you can meditate, take a trip, shut off your phone, open your journal and listen to what your heart is telling you deep inside.
Listen to how it feels about your career, your relationships.
Listen to how it feels about your life.
At the end of the day, you will never go wrong when you follow your heart because, that’s the AUTHENTIC version of you. (Not my words.)

Life lessons it took me a while to learn:

1. Missing people is not a reason to reconnect with them.
It’s okay to remember people without rekindling.

2. You can’t talk to everyone about everything.
It’s okay to have certain people for certain topics.

3. When someone is envious of you, it’s not your job to make them feel better about who you are.
Be you shamelessly.

4. Assumptions are not rooted in fact.
If you want to know something, it’s always best to ask.

5. Authenticity equals freedom.
There’s nothing that someone can hold over you when you’re okay with who you are.

(This video got nothing to do with the post above. World stopped accepting leadership of UK on economy after the fall of colonialism, and thanks to labours party which made a big dent on UK’s image by reiterating nonsensical issues on parliament floor. It’s just a start the way things are headed. People are worried about recession because we are already in a recession since a while. I can see even worse for USA in coming days.)

I think the most important thing in life is self-love.
Because if you don’t have self-love and respect for everything about your own body, your own soul, your own capsule, then how can you have an authentic relationship with anyone else?

We all want to be liked and loved, but when we focus on this instead of making sure we love ourselves first, we get lost in other people’s opinions and we stop living honestly.
If someone calls you a name, don’t let it bother you, don’t react.
Feeding into their drama will only negatively affect your character.

What makes you special and unique?
Think about one of your eccentricities and embrace it every day.
When we are consumed by what other people think of us, we allow them to dictate how we live our lives, and then without realizing it, we lose touch with who we are.
Respect your individuality.
