When your mental health is bad, give yourself a break. Don’t make yourself feel guilty for things you can’t do. Don’t feel bad about eating bad. Don’t feel bad about not doing as much as you normally would.
Life has it’s own phases. And every phase has it’s own journey & own story. You’re human. It’s okay to struggle. Look after yourself & your mental health. Both are equally important.
A shark in a fish tank will grow 8 inches. But the same shark in the ocean it will grow 8ft or more. The shark will never out grow its environment. And the same is true about you & every other human being.
Many times we’re around small thinking people, so we don’t grow. Change your environment and watch your growth.
Sometimes you are the toxic person. Sometimes you are the mean negative person you’re looking to push away. Sometimes the problem is you. And that doesn’t make you less worthy.
Keep on growing. Keep on checking yourself. Keep on motivating yourself.
Mistakes are opportunities. Look at them, own them, grow from them and move on.
Do better, be better. You’re human. It’s okay. Check yourself.
It’s so important to acknowledge your weaknesses and imperfections. It may seem hard at first, but once you begin to recognize and come to peace with your weaknesses, you actually have an honest place to start improving. We shouldn’t strive for perfection because it doesn’t exist. When we accept others for who they are and love ourselves unconditionally (flaws and all), we have an opportunity to be open, to be courageous, and to learn.
There’s a chinese proverb which goes like; “Gold can’t be 100% pure, and people can’t be fully perfect”.
Look at your weaknesses and think about how you can improve in a healthy way.
You can disappoint people, and still be good enough. You can fail, and still be smart, capable and talented. You can let people down, and still be worthwhile and deserving of love and admiration.
We all make mistakes sometimes. Take a deep breath. You are allowed to be human.

(This music video got nothing to do with the post above. Music video is uploaded recently, but it’s almost 13 years old song, still a vibe.)
Humans are deuterostomes, which means that when they develop in the womb the anus forms before any other opening. Which basically means at one point you were nothing but an asshole. Some people never develop beyond this stage.
I think sometimes people believe that worrying has some kind of productive purpose. Worry sucks all your energy and joy out of whatever it you’re doing. It’s human nature to worry, but when we do constantly, we run into more problems. It may give you something to do, but you don’t get anywhere.
The next time you worrying about something, try to remember that you aren’t always in control. Instead, do practical things like make budget or create a schedule. Be proactive & let go of stress. After all, it won’t change a thing.
Worry does not empty tomorrow of sorrow; it empties today of it’s strength.
If we want to achieve great things, we must be intentional to focus on the right things, even when chaos arises. If we are not intentional with our thought life, then our human nature will automatically focus on the problem rather than finding and creating solutions.
What you focus on multiplies. So undoubtedly, when you focus on your problems for too long, they will begin to feel big and overwhelming. When you allow your problems to be the loudest voice in the room, you lose sight of hope and possibility.
While it’s important to acknowledge the problems that exist, no good can evolve from focusing on your problems. It will not change your situation, make things better, or shift the atmosphere and pave the way for a breakthrough.
Here’s the good thing: the problems you face, while they may be roadblocks, they cannot keep you from the future that was intended for you. ONCE AGAIN; WHAT YOU FOCUS ON MULTIPLIES.
DON’T COMPARE your actual self to a hypothetical self. Don’t drown in a sea of ‘what if’s. Don’t clutter your mind by imagining other versions of you, in parallel universes, where you made different decisions. The internet age encourages choice and comparison, but don’t do this to yourself. Theodore Roosevelt said; Comparison is the thief of joy. You are The you. Past is the past.
The only way to make a better life is from inside the present. To focus on regret does nothing but turn that very present into another thing you will wish you did differently. Accept your own reality. Be human enough to make mistakes. Be human enough not to dread the future. Be human enough to be, well, enough. Accepting where you are in life makes it so much easier to be happy for other people without feeling terrible about yourself.
