Do you know what happens when you constantly hurt someone? They begin to love you less, and after a while they start to forget that they ever loved you at all.
What most people need to learn in life is how to love people and use things, instead of using people and loving things.
(This video got nothing to do with the post above. Karim & Jahar, one of the best ones from Key & Peele.)
1. Know that your only competition is who you were yesterday. 2. Earn, save and invest before you spend. 3. Avoid negative people, life is too short. 4. If you don’t go after what you want, you will never get it. 5. See failure as a beginning, not an end. 6. Our habits decide our future, remain consistent with what you do in life.
6 months of hardcore focus and alignment can put you 5 years ahead in life. Don’t underestimate the power of consistency and desire. You have what it takes to become the best that you can be. Don’t ever doubt yourself. Harness your power. Exceed your expectations. CONSISTENCY ALWAYS WINS.
The fact that you’re struggling doesn’t make you a burden. It doesn’t make you unloveable or undesirable or undeserving of care. It doesn’t make you too much or too sensitive or too needy. It makes you human. Everyone struggles. Everyone has a difficult time coping, and at times, we all fall apart. During these times, we aren’t always easy to be around and that’s okay. No one is easy to be around one hundred percent of the time. Yes, you may sometimes be unpleasant or difficult. And yes, you may sometimes do or say things that make the people around you feel helpless or sad. But those things aren’t all of who you are and they certainly don’t discount your worth as a human being.
The truth is that you can be struggling and still be loved. You can be difficult and still be cared for. You can be less than perfect, and still be deserving of compassion and kindness. Be you. (Not my words.)
It is important to know who you are, what you stand for and how you want to see yourself. You have your whole life for you, and you determine what you do with it and how you will experience your journey. There is no one who can tell you who you are, because you decide for yourself. You make your own choices, you choose your own direction and you determine your own steps.
Think about who you are, think about how you position yourself against others. Think of your qualities and your intentions. See yourself as the person you want to be, without thinking about your status, your score, your ability or the people around you. Nothing or nobody should affect who you are as a person, who you are in terms of thinking, who you are in your actions. The life you have for you is your chance to follow your dreams, to discover, to develop and to enjoy yourself. Imagine a life in which you are completely yourself, in which you fulfill your dreams. Live your life. Life is fun, let it be.
Most people are just INCONSISTENT, pretend to do lot many things without being serious about anything. TRUSTING SOMEONE IS THE TOUGHEST PART.
And there are two reasons why we don’t TRUST people. First: We don’t know them. Second: We know them.
(This video got nothing to do with the post above. I heard about mincemeat oat cookies for the first time from this Scottish chef. I am a baker by heart, especially pizza & cheesecake are two of my biggest weaknesses.)
(This video got nothing to do with the post above. I want to highlight this sillicon valley strategy of tech entrepreneurs. Steve Ballmer almost ruined entire enterprise market & mobile division of Microsoft, then Microsoft promoted Satya Nadella as CEO to clean up all mess & now Microsoft is profitable. Same happened with Google before Sundar Pichai succeeded as CEO. Now another Indian Parag Agrawal will succeed Jack Dorsey as Twitter CEO. Most of these big tech make big mess with some product or services, then hire an Indian CEO to fix it. Good part is, Yes Indians have the brain to pull it. Bad part is; WHY WAIT SO LONG TO RUIN WHAT’S GOOD!! At the end it’s public or investor’s money. Not sharing this because my blood goes back to India. CEO changed, stocks tanked. Now Elon is praising Indians, I wanna see when he hires an Indian CEO, so that i can buy few more Tesla stocks.)
It’s so easy to walk by people and make judgments about who they are based on some small passing detail or flaw that you’ve observed. Maybe their attitude appears to be rude. Maybe they aren’t as outgoing as you are. Either way, without taking the time to actually get to know someone and hear what they’ve been through, you really have no right to judge anyone. The things we observe superficially are just that; they are false impressions that don’t tell you anything about what others have actually experienced.
Take the time to really get to know people. Ask them what their story is, and be a good listener. Sometimes the nicest people you come across are busy building life while being little carefree soaking the sunshine, and the judgmental ones go to church on sundays. Never judge a book by its cover.
I’m very picky with whom I give my energy to. I prefer to reserve my time, intensity and spirit exclusively to those who reflect sincerity & consistency.
(This video got nothing to do with the post above. Watch it for fun, one of my favourites from Key & Peele.)😂👍
People never understand “what you want to do” is always connected to “what you need to do”.
Suppose i want to be an engineer, i need to study engineering. Suppose i want to a writer/musician/athlete, i need to learn & practice writing/music/sports. Suppose i want to get fit, i need to workout.
What you want to do doesn’t make any sense till you aren’t following what you need to do first. This is the major reason most people stay unhappy & blame others for their failures. This one tiny mindset change can drastically evolve your life in a year.
NEEDS FIRST, WANTS NEXT.
(This movie trailer got nothing to do with the post above. My first real full-time job was software developer before i switched to data analytics field. I know where we are heading with time, our world isn’t going bad as this trailer shows. But the way technology is advancing, who knows what’s coming after hundred years!! Anyways, there are no boundaries for imagination.)
Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world’s grief. Do justly now, love mercy now, walk humbly now. You are not obligated to complete the work. But neither are you free to abandon it.
