Some will find great pleasure in provoking a reaction from you. That’s when you need to discover the great pleasure in giving them none. Sometimes it’s better to react with no reaction.
Do not get upset with people or situations, both are powerless without your reaction.
Sometimes the circumstances change. Sometimes the situation changes. Sometimes the time isn’t ripe. Sometimes people change. Sometimes you change.
“Never quit” sounds great. But sometimes, you gotta quit. And be willing to say; “this isn’t what i thought it was” or “this doesn’t appeal to me anymore“.
Remember that you can quit “the thing” without quitting on yourself. Remember that persistence and fluidity can coexist.
Train your mind to be stronger than your emotions. Having self-control will get you further than constantly reacting to everything that’s trying to test your patience.
Center yourself and remain calm in difficult or challenging situations.
Remember, most of your stress comes from the way you respond, not the way life is. Adjust your attitude. Change how you see things. Look for the good in all situations. Take the lesson and find new opportunities to grow.
Let all the extra stress go. Let all the extra worry go. Let all the extra overthinking go.
Be firm about your choices right now. Don’t go backwards to habits that weren’t helping you evolve. Don’t go backwards to situations that weren’t helping you evolve.
You have to keep reminding yourself why you even decided to move forward. Stay positive about what’s to come by being consistent with your change now.
The longer I live the more I realize the impact of attitude to life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts.
It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstanstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do.
It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company, a church, a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for the day. We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to us is 90% how I react to it. (Not my words.)
• How you treat yourself & your body. • How you react to situations. • How you respond to people. • Where you give your time, energy, and attention. • How you speak to and treat others. • The people you choose to surround yourself with. • The content you consume. • What you do with your spare time. • How you express your thoughts.
