This is your life.
You’re allowed to change your mind.
To change your heart.
You’re allowed to be a different person.
To wake up one day and not want to do the things you’ve been doing all your life.
You’re allowed to love who you want.
To move on from the people who are not good to you.
To let go of anyone without any kind of explanation.
Without any kind of regret.
You’re allowed to make mistakes.
To learn from them.
Or not to learn from them and experience everything all over again.
You’re allowed to forget your past if you want to.
Or to stay in it but you must also understand that this is not how you will grow.
You’re allowed to change careers.
To dress differently.
To chase different dreams.
To change locations, even if, at first, you’re terrified to do so.
You’re allowed to dislike yourself but also allowed to change those same parts you don’t see eye to eye with.
To work on them until you’re completely comfortable with who you are.

This is your life.
Make it count.
Make your own validation.
Your own path.
Your own way of life.
You are enough.
And you are not broken.
You’re a lot stronger than you want to believe.

Instead of saying “I’m lazy,” saying “I’ve made a habit of not doing work unless it’s absolutely necessary.”
Instead of saying “I’m a bad friend,” saying “I haven’t communicated as much as I should with the people I care about.”

By being specific about your problems, and by framing it as an action that you are consciously either working on or ignoring rather than an unchangeable part of who you are, you allow yourself to accept your mistakes and work constructively on them instead of pretending they didn’t happen or wallowing in blaming yourself.

Honestly I think one of the most empowering things you can do for yourself is to separate your negative qualities from your identity. (Not my words.)

It is quite simple.
Nothing that is meant for you will ever get away.
Love deeply, and without the need to possess or own.
Let beautiful connections pass through you without attachment.
Slam your heart into the people and the places and the things that ignite something deep inside of your soul.
And I promise the right things will stay.

You will never lose what is for you.
Please don’t ever forget that.

Deep down you know exactly what you’re capable of.
There’s even moments where you get a glimpse of all the potential you have.
You can get there.
You just have to be willing to sacrifice the habits, things, and situations that are standing in the way of your SUCCESS.

Someone fell in love today.
Someone was born today.
Someone lived through something that could have killed them.
Someone won back the love of their life.
Someone made their parents proud.
Someone survived.
Someone healed.
Someone let go.

Seven billion people, and some of us have just had the best day of their lives.
Today may have been the very worst day of yours.
But take solace and celebrate this simple fact.
It wasn’t your best day today,
but it is on it’s way,
because we all get lucky in turn.

I’ve learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.
I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled christmas tree lights.
I’ve learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you’ll miss them when they’re gone from your life.
I’ve learned that making a “living” is not the same thing as making a “life”.
I’ve learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.
I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back.
I’ve learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.
I’ve learned that even when I have pains, I don’t have to be one.
I’ve learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone.
People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.
I’ve learned that I still have a lot to learn.

I’ve learned that people will forget what you said,
people will forget what you did,
but people will never forget how you made them feel.
