True me.. Tap-944..

We’re never doomed because we’re being reborn each day and life is filled with new opportunities.
You have the freedom to wake up one day and decide to travel the world, change career paths, or reach out to a friend you haven’t spoken to in years.
Every day is filled with new ideas and possibilities.

Do something unexpected and out of character today.
Free yourself.

Each morning, we are born again.
What we do today is what matters most.
-BUDDHA.

(This video got nothing to do with the post above. Watch this video to understand little more about our stupid human mindset on hustle, goals & achieving things in short. Nobody understands it’s about being productive & how much value you are bringing. IF YOU WANT TO MOVE FAST, GO SLOW.)

The biggest communication problem is;
most people do not listen to understand.
They listen to reply or retaliate.
And that’s a major turn off in a person’s personality.

(This tweet got nothing to do with the post above. The repercussions of this COVID pandemic will be felt in coming years even after we are back to normalcy.)

8 Rules for a HAPPY HAPPENING LIFE:

1. Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present.
2. What others think of you is none of your business.
3. Time heals almost everything, give it time.
4. Don’t compare your life to others and don’t judge them. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
5. Stop thinking too much, it’s alright not to know the answers. Answers will come to you when you least expect it.
6. No one is in charge of your happiness, except you.
7. Smile. You don’t own all the problems in the world.
8. Understand the difference between WANT & NEED. Follow what you feel.

Relationships between family, friends, significant others, and colleagues are complicated and full of learning experiences.
Nobody comes into this world knowing everything.
We all go through different experiences, make mistakes, have successes, and then make more mistakes that we can learn from.
The ability to trust and listen to the people in your life is the foundation all healthy relationships are built on.

While talking to friends, make sure you are really listening to what they have to say and aren’t distracted by something else.
You owe that to them and you would want the same in return.
Trust is a bond between two people that is found only when they are able to listen and understand where the other person is coming from.
That to me is the only key to friendships and relationships.

Sunday story time.. 05.

My grandpa died before 4 years at the age of 97+. He lost memory during his last few days. But whenever he was able to recollect his thoughts & was able to understand what’s going on, he used to talk about his involvement in Mahatma Gandhi’s khadi movement during India’s freedom struggle. Khadi means hand woven cotton fabric.
He used to preach few things till the day he was alive;

1. Saying/wishing/greeting RAM RAM is not a religious thing, even though LORD RAM is the highest celebrated deity in Hindu religion. It’s about seeing divine in other human life & exchanging equal amounts of respect for that reason.

2. The biggest sinners in this world go to church/temple/mosque very often. Because they have to keep reminding god to wash their sins.

3. 10% of your wealth/income must go towards DANA (in Sanskrit it means DONATION), donation towards helping underprivileged & upliftment of society.

Not a secret, i own a small health supplement business since September-2017. And now that business enjoys a loyal customer base because of good quality products & quick customer query resolution. With those fitness enthusiasts in mind, i started an athleisure clothing brand in August-2019.

Like every other human, i am not perfect & my business is also not perfect all the time. Especially the atheleisure clothing brand i am talking about, not talking about profit or loss. My operation is small and we never made a loss. I am talking about clothes not being perfect sometimes. While manufacturing/stitching/printing, in few cases there’s a misplaced logo or a packaging label mishap, a stitching at wrong part of the clothing material or short hoodie strings, so we reject few clothes while passing it through quality testing. But even those quality reject clothes are completely usable, sometimes even i use them as my layer-1 clothes during winter. Like previous year, this year too we will go to a nearby orphanage & a refugee shelter to donate some winter clothes/blanket/woolen socks. There’s an amazing feeling of fulfillment while giving it back. I am forever grateful to almighty for giving me little more than i can consume.

(In case anyone wants to join in Cardiff, i have updated the address in our CMU group. Please don’t try to overcrowd the place, 12-13 people are enough. It bums my mood to see people roaming around without mask, so please wear a mask while coming.)

People never understand “what you want to do” is always connected to “what you need to do”.

Suppose i want to be an engineer, i need to study engineering.
Suppose i want to a writer/musician/athlete, i need to learn & practice writing/music/sports.
Suppose i want to get fit, i need to workout.

What you want to do doesn’t make any sense till you aren’t following what you need to do first.
This is the major reason most people stay unhappy & blame others for their failures.
This one tiny mindset change can drastically evolve your life in a year.

NEEDS FIRST, WANTS NEXT.

(This movie trailer got nothing to do with the post above. My first real full-time job was software developer before i switched to data analytics field. I know where we are heading with time, our world isn’t going bad as this trailer shows. But the way technology is advancing, who knows what’s coming after hundred years!! Anyways, there are no boundaries for imagination.)

Eleven meaningful truths/lessons on life:

1. Average human life is relatively short.
2. You will only ever live the life you create for yourself.
3. Being busy doesn’t mean being productive.
4. Some kind of failure always occurs before success. And both success & failure can be equally amazing.
5. Actions without intentions are like walking without using legs, doesn’t make sense.
6. You don’t have to wait for an apology to forgive other people. There’s a tendency of CHEAP, it keeps getting CHEAPER with time.
7. Some people are simply the wrong match for you. Keep checking who’s coming for good time & who’s coming with good energy!!
8. It’s not other people’s job to LOVE you; it’s yours.
9. What you own is not who YOU are, it’s about how you purpose what you have.
10. Everything changes for the better.
11. Forever takes forever to build & behold. (Not my words).

Never regret being a good person to the wrong people.
Your behavior says everything about you,
and their behavior says enough about them.

Some people love you.
Some people love to be around you.
Some love what you can do for them.
Understand the difference.

Learn the difference between connection and attachment.
One brings consistency, the other is fakefuckery.
One gives you power, the other sucks the life out of you.

True me.. Tap-829..

We already know that no one is perfect.
But knowing that doesn’t keep us from doing things we might feel badly about later.
Your mistakes & understanding to own them makes you unique.
But when the same mistake is repeated often; that’s a sign of inconsistency in your character, which can later birth numerous bad habits & a peculiar tendency to become a systematic liar.
Start from owning your mistakes one by one.
I’ve found in times like that it’s best to come clean and own your mistake.
People will be so much more forgiving and sympathetic when you are honest about it because they can relate.
Even better, you will inspire them to do the same thing by showing them how honest and beautiful you can be without being perfect.

Stay strong.
Tell on yourself today about something you feel badly about having done or said in the past.
We should regret our mistakes and learn from them,
but never carry them forward into the future with us.
